University Gardens II

How the Rent is Calculated for Section 8:

University Gardens II developed in 2013 under the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Section 202/ Rental Assistance Demonstration (RAD) conversion contract is adjacent to University Gardens I.

This 4-story mid-rise facility consists of twenty-seven one-bedroom units for low-income elderly 62 years of age or older.

Age Eligibility

University Gardens II is age restricted. An applicant must be 62 years old or older at the time of application to apply for residency at University Gardens II. There are units that are specifically designed to accommodate mobility, hearing and visual impairments however, the applicant must be 62 years of age or older.

Income Eligibility

Housing at University Gardens II is intended for low income elderly persons. To qualify, household income cannot exceed HUD income guidelines. Residents at this HUD property pay 30% of their adjusted household income.
